If you are a public entity representative, your attendance at this educational event will not result in a non-exempt prohibited transaction under Section 406 of ERISA and attendance at the event will not compromise your ability to carry out your duties as a fiduciary faithfully and in compliance with applicable law. Duration seeks to comply with applicable regulations concerning meals, gifts and entertainment provided to public officials and government employees (including public pension plan employees). Meals will be provided at the Duration AGM. Lodging and transportation costs incurred in connection with the Duration AGM will be the responsibility of each attendee. Duration items of modest value will be made available to attendees, compliments of Duration, to use and keep following the Duration AGM. To the extent that attendees from your organization are required by jurisdictional rules and regulations or the policies of your department, organization or authority to personally reimburse Duration for Duration items, meals, entertainment, or gifts received at this event, we will, of course, be happy to assist with direct payment arrangements. Attendees from your organization may also decline Duration items or anything else of value provided by Duration if acceptance is prohibited. Please be advised that we expect those attendees, who must personally reimburse Duration, or refrain from accepting Duration items or anything else of value from Duration, to ensure their own compliance with these requirements.
